Your idle is looking a bit low, does it get any higher?

 

Idle is spot on for a an up to temp engine.

I know for an n/a its meant to be 720 +/- 50rpm ... thought it was meant to be around 850 for a TT model though.

 

Perhaps i'm mistaken and its a lesser difference between tt and n/a.

It varies a bit depending on the domestic market and corresponding ECU, and from manual to auto of course.

 

UK TT Auto is 750 rpm between 60°C & 90°C

JDM TT Auto 900 rpm between 60°C & 70°C and 700 rpm between 75°C & 90°C

 

These are the target idle speeds as set by the ECU. His idle is spot on.

Is power steering meant to be marked as off?

 

yes when you start to turn the steering it will come on
