Coolant leak?

Hey just a quickie, parked my car at an angle on the kerb over night and there appears to have been a leak of coolant, should this happen?

hia bud whats the millage on the zed??

mine had doen 90,000 miles and the water pump started to leak!! i have been told that they start to leak at this millage!!

check your drive belt under the pump for any coolant!!

if u r nowhere near this millage then there is 2 pipes that tend to leak by your thermostat just above your water pump,

good luck m8

Had the same problem on mine at 42,000 - turned out to be the water pump. Could also be one of the little hoses around the water pump area, if the leak is at the front of the engine.

I have checked around, I topped up the coolant and it hasn't leaked in 2 days, even after a few 30 miles drives all levels are fine.

Ill just keep my eye on it. I think it may have been where it sat on the grass over night, could have been heavy dew as the whole car was very wet.

Cheers Dewi me old mucka for confirming what I think is wrong with mine! wink.gif

Got back on Friday night and very little coolant in the rad. Nearly overheated on the A55 in the sodding roadworks at Hollywell but slapped the heater on full blast and avoided disaster.

Anyway, got home and had a look and there is coolant on the bottom belt below the water pump.

Hopefully that is the culprit!

Nice one.
