Does anybody on here deal with lorries/buses with air suspension

The compressor for our Fiat Ducato (6 wheeler) has burnt out and we need to source a replacement, but not sure who actually supplied the part originally (it's an ex Police van)

It's a big old compressor (approx 12" - 16" in length) and so far none of the suppliers recognise it. I presume air compressors are pretty much a generic part as long as the rating and hose connector sizes are correct.

Does anybody deal with this kind of thing in work?

I can't get hold of any details whatsoever on this compressor, nobody in the trade so far recognises it. I was just throwing this out there just on the very slim chance that somebody recognised it

You will probably have little luck at truck/bus spares retailers as the air systems are mainly engine driven. What you have there is a custom build, look for the coachbuilders info plate on the body. They usually have some contact details and they may be able to help point you in the right direction

Cheers mate, I've had a quick look on the Drive Rite website and it looks like it could be the place, so I've sent them an email and am awaiting a reply

If you send me a pm with the details of the van etc and if there are any numbers i will speak to the commercial guys at my work tomorrow.

I thought i was on civiclife for a moment just then lol thought i recognised your name and pics from above.

Many thanks for the help guys, I managed to get the compressor off the wagon and **** knows how but a load of water poured out? I identified the part supplier, then sent them an e-mail and eventually when all that was done I started the engine just to keep the battery topped up.......and the compressor kicked into life??

The air suspension is working fine now??????
