HKS GT2510 turbos

Is anybody on here running a pair of HKS GT2510 turbos?

and what power figures could be expected as I'm informed that they are quite a bit smaller than 2530's/GT675RS for example

With regards to lag I would assume that they would spool up quicker than 2530's and therefore may be a better option for circuits such as Thruxton?

thats depends on the a/r's but in real world yeah ..... Lag should be at min

Big turbos & High RPM before Boost = Loads of Power but can be crap to drive every day

Small Turbos lower RPM boost = Lower to Mid power great for Driving and small tracks Big power ...eerr No

the Little Problem we have is Most Tubs are built around 2>2.5lt 4 pot engines ..

we only have 1.5lt 3 Pot to power each turbo Hence the Lag/high rpm boost on uprated tubs

Some info there there rated upto 300 each so should push high 500's on them

HKS GT Series Turbos are offered with a GT25 (T25) and/or T3 footprint and the turbine wheel is constructed of inconel. Inconel is a very expensive material that can withstand extremely high temperatures and is typically only used in the aero-space industry and on race cars. HKS GT Series Turbos are typically available in both external and internal Wastegate configurations.

Interesting read, cheers guys

basically I've been offered a pair of HKS 2510's and I'm tempted to fit those to my spare engine and abuse that on track, then leave the GT675RS turbos for my forged lump (or sell the forged lump/ 675's and go down the stock 2JZ route or something similar)

Hmmmm....

2jz route for me lol, I know people say these engines are great ect but the 2jz is just an amazing engine 600hp on standard internal massive amount of parts ect available, there just amazing lol

You pretty much just the described the VG. You'll find the same sort of claims for the VG, there are a number of high powered stock internal motors in the states.

Although in my experience most Supra's claiming to be at 600hp are actually nowhere near it, and the only Supra I've personally known with standard internals that was genuinely putting out 600 horses only lasted about a month, and went through several very expensive rebuilds before the owner got fed up and just dropped a V8 in it with pair of tubs instead.

Its most comparable to the GT2560R / GT28R / Z1 GT600R / T28BB
