Colder plugs? At what point do you need to change over?

I want some of these Iridium plugs off Rob.

At what point is it a good idea to change over to a colder type?

My mods so far...

Blitz zorst and Intake

SE chip

Ported heads

Blitz iD boost controller

ASP underdrive pulley

TIA

Best guide is to look at the plugs themselves after a hard run. It's usually called a 'plug chop'. If they're obviously overheating then, unless there is something else causing it, then you need cooler plugs.

Is it not wise to fit cooler plugs anyway as a safety measure like with bigger IC's?

you wont need to go colder with those mods.

i went to a much cooler plug last year and had a few hassles with starting in the morning ect and when i used octane boost the car missed. i run now two steps colder than stock and they are 100%

Cheers chaps.

Go too cold and you will have starting problems. You could even get normal running problems!!!!
