Iridium Plugs

Hi guys,

Just wanted to find out if Iridium plugs are any better than stock spark plugs? Would they lead to any significant improvement in performance and/or BHP as i only replaced mine about a month ago.

Thanks

Hi Ammar,

I think you already know what I think of 'em...

I got a noticeable (though not huge) improvement in throttle response and power. Coupled with that, supposedly better economy but we all know more power means heavier foot ;-). S'posed to have better heat path too - heat removed from combustion chamber=less detonation. I've not detted since fitting them but then I've also set my AVC-R up better too...:-\

Less voltage is required for a stronger spark than the standard plugs, this takes some load off the battery and therefore alternator too...

Ahem....did I mention I had some for sale? £50 per set all in, NGK Iridium IXs good for TT but also should work well in NA. Anyone interested LMK!

Cheers!
