KEEP IT SIDEWAYS!

Cheers.

I don't suppose you know if there is a similar one for an S13 200SX ?

I ask cos if I mod the 200SX I want to keep it auto and may need a stronger box.

All they really do is increase the line pressures, so in principle I guess this can be applied to most auto boxes.

So it's not a new geabox, just an uprated one ?

It's a refurb/rebuild with uprated line pressures. I had mine done when it packed up and it made quite a difference (especially compared with it's previous performance! biggrin.gif)

When I converted to manual I sold mine auto to Steve.R, now that his car has been written off he will have a good condition uprated auto box for sale ... (or whomever breaks the car will)

Don't suppose a 300 auto gearbox could be used in an auto 200SX ?

Would it not be cheaper/easier to just convert it to manual??? This is in no way a dig or a smart ar5e comment. It just seems to me that you'll be able to pick up a second hand manual box for less than the mods on the auto would cost? Maybe I'm wrong, BUT, maybe I'm not. Just worth checking out I reckon before you make the step....

CheerZ,

Well not everyone wants a manual box, but lets not go there.

To get the box uprated would probably work out pretty expensive, if you weren't doing all the work to have it repaired at well. It would make a lot more sense to get one of the HKS ALC's.

As for fitting a 300 box on a 200 I doubt whether it would work very well without loads of changes, aside from the fact that is is probably a different shape, the 300 engine has gobs more torque than the 200 and so the box would probably need a big rework to make it usable.
