My Zed has been vandalised for the second time now after owning it for just 2 months :(

 

First time they slashed both of my rear tyres.

 

Today I have found it with both front tyres slashed, left wing mirror broken and with a nice mix of white paint, eggs tomatoes and flour over it.

 

No idea who would do this.

 

 

 

So my question is what should I do now? I really cant afford to keep sorting it out and by this rate it will be up in flames by Christmas.

 

 

Some points...

I dont have a view of the street I park in from my flat.

There are other streets to park in but they are usually full and I end up parking in this one.

There is a private car park outside the building that costs £700 per year but can be accessed by anyone. (I walk through it to get to my Zed).

My old golf was never vandalised for the time that I had it.

 

 

Really had enough now :(

Having only had the car two months I wonder if it's anything to do with something the previous owner did.....? Not accusing, and sorry if the previous owner is on here, just a thought.

 

These cars are rare enough to see that one causing a nuisance wouldn't be hard to recognise......?

 

Again, not saying you've done anything, or that the previous owner did, just another perspective.........

 

 

Alternatively again though, people get pissy about all sorts, does your car have a noisy exhaust or anything??

 

If it was a previous owner it would make sense but it was from a dealer that was taken in as a part ex so not sure ... in fact i'm not sure what would drive someone to do this...

 

I do have a noisy exhaust though. But I drive sensibly around my street. No racing at night or anything.

ah mate i would love to catch these scumbags at it... i'd do to them exactly what they did to my zed.

Is your Z extremely loud or have u been giving it a bit of hoof in the neighbourhood, more often than not its somebody very nearby you've pissed off...

 

Sorry to see that being done to your Z, they've gone to good effort here, says to me you've pissed somebody off.

It would be interesting to see who regularly parks there after you start using the private parking.

Maybe the likely culprit? Mmmmm see how they like it.

 

On a more serious note though.

Hope you get it sorted soon mate, I hate to see mindless vandalism, especially to peoples pride and joy.

Thanks, thought about doing this but I've decided to pay for the private parking AND get a camera in my flat looking over the car. I do want to keep my Zed and I guess this is the only way I am going to be able to do it. Unless I move flat that is...

 

It's a wise move I reckon, it's worth it just for the stress and anxiety it will relieve. Fingers crossed for ya!

sorry to see this, when i lived in Bolton my zed went through a spell of getting vandalised, lost 2 windows, 3 wing mirrors and a tyre, before eventually the whole zed got nicked... :(

 

at least you got a visit from the police, best i got was a quick phone call.

 

 

 

if it was something to do with the previous owner could change the plate? might help...

 

another suggestion put it under a cover then they would have to remove it before they could touch it, more chance of getting a finger print of DNA or something?

 

 

but sounds like you've made a good choice with the private space and camera.
