More than likely turbos id say.

Ive been having smoke on idle a tad as well.

It has been suggested that I check the o2 sensors and PCV valves, mine sounds similar to your except it smokes straight away for 5 minutes and then stops.

only out of one exhaust though,

a quick search there will tell you how to replace the sensors (you can't check the PCV valves without removing them but they are around £4 each) o2 sensors can be checked with a consult at Nissan and are around £60 and of course you need may need 2 smile.gif

Good luck.

Spencer,

That sounds like a classic rear oil seal on your turbos. The job is too big to be worth doing without getting recon / new turbos. The plus side is that you MAY be able to go for thousands more miles.

P.S. If anyone on here offers you a breather kit to fix it, run a mile !!!! (Do I search if you don't understand what I'm going on about)

does your car hold back slightly when cold, till it is fully warmed up. these are the same symptoms as mine. on mine it only smokes on startup after a couple of mins, drive it 200yds and no smoke till the next morning. i can also occasionaly hear a relay clicking v.fast from the dash cluster area.
