right, here is your chance to see if we can improve on this years JAE, for next year.

 

If you have a issue with something this year, please but it down here, but be constructive about it, don't just say "i didn't like blah blah" with out saying what you would do to improve it.

 

All ideas will be considered.

It was cold, a marquee heater would improve this

 

The ring in the roof of the marquee was missing something, a mirror ball would improve this

 

The fridge wasnt big enough, a bigger fridge would improve this

involvement in more JAE activities, no-one seemed to know (or care lol) that 300zx.co.uk got to the semi final in the football competition!

That was the FTO lot next to us, they do it every year, don't really want to steal the neighbors ideas lol

 

Ian, i agree groover should of not listened to me and brought the heater, we need a mirror ball for the center of the marquee (if we get the same shape one as this year) and the fridge was way to small LOL

A nice fire pit or chimnea thingy with non smoky logs would be nice to have a proper group sit down to play cards, have a chat sort of thing in the warmth, I had a walk round all of the tents and the ones with fire pits had everyone together chatting and having a laugh, I felt (even though I had a great time) a little atmosphere was lacking at night around our wig-wam :) also a bar would be nice, with optics and beer pumps :), an option is we could buy wrist bands for an all inclusive drink package, or a till and buy as you go :D

Some good points so far and there are a few refinements we know about already that we discovered ourselves. Again though as we mentioned in the AGM, it would be good to get more REO's involved to help with other activities as one or two people can only do so much on their own. :thumbup1:

id of love to of hired a bar, though could aways sort something out next year if everyone going chips in for it, i used to be a barman, and if we can make something that resembles a bar, i don't mind manning it for the night lol. could do a all proceeds to the charity that is usually apart of JAE

I really wish I was nearer as I would be so willing to help :).... I used to rent a very large house for not a lot of money from the company I used to work for and threw some epic party`s at new year, the bar always goes down well and someone is always willing to be the bar man/woman, I know its a big ask but it costs us all a lot of money to get to JAE ourselves and we deserve a good party :) the lads did an excellent job organising everything but it can be so much better!! the venue is great!! our club members are fantastic (all of them) so lets big it up for next year, and yes! we deffo need more people to turn up :)

matey you are more than welcome to come to mine before heading down on the Thursday, could always plan something for next year if you want to get prices and such, or being a joiner, knock something together thats easliy transportable, i can store it here and move it to JAE, then its a case of getting the beers and shots set up lol

Vods as I say, I would love to help, but being so far away and having a little boot on the car, I have only enough room for my tent and a few goodies, I don`t mind making something and sending it prior to the event but its going have to be heavy duty stuff for us lot, coz people will be wanting to dance on the bar :) lol

hmm, i know we had a meeting about at JAE and topic of conversation was over moderation at some point, but i think groover has taken it a bit too litarally lol

 

anyway, on topic you lot lol, need to get some good ideas for next year, im thinking 15foot swimming pool (only issue is how to fill it)

 

could do a friday / saturday night drive through idea with the projector, me and jaikai had a sit down and talk about it but not sure if its possible as really need a more of a slope to of the land to make it work properly and also a better sound system.

 

ill get hold of daz to discuss the bar option in more details.

I might have a bar with optic holders we could borrow and it is only 5 miles away. It will need the van to move it. Could probably organise a barrel of local beer if people wanted it. Depends on the date of the next JAE and our village beer festival.

Good suggestions, but slight prob with the bar idea, it's not just the actual bar needs doing but also a keg or 2, gas, pumps and a cooling system, or ull end up with a pint of warm froth ! Lol

Groovers in a band ;) he likes to keep it quiet though, im sure he and his groupies could arrange something :)

I play drums... not currently in a band though...

 

Would be up for forming some sort of cheesey forums based covers band though... with karaoke singing!!! :D
