I have an Apex'i and I am very happy with it. See Smithy for one. I was quoted £188 for one but Smithy got me one a hell of a lot cheaper, saved over £50.

I first bought a K&N but its for the US only, and apparently they are different under the nose and it didnt fit in mine.

Lots of people go for BlitZ.

I have no idea. I think that the metal mesh will last longer and allow a better air flow at the expence of the filtration.

Blitz SUS is a good one but I think the APEXi is better for both performance and filtration.

Don't get HKS especially if you have an aftermarket headlamp panel or no engine bay splash guard in place!

HKS filters are basically a large sponge in a dome shape and are renowned for soaking up the water then shafting the MAF meter.

HKS are better on Soups and RX-7's where the intake is not central like ours and offset closer to the inner wings and angled further down.

Hmmm I think we can quash the BS re the MAS getting fvcked by the filter - Macca has a blitz and guess what, yep you guessed it, his MAS went....

I've have an HKS filter and ran it a whole year not a single problem. Oh and timmy - it aint just foam - its a special polymer you know ROFL biggrin.gif

Who has a dual filter? Any real point or just more hassle.

lol i have HKS and i have never had an maf problems ect, so i thik that is a load of ********. Duel is worth doing but again only if your going to have one for each bank on the car as this removes your maf as a restrictor for horepower, but only if your lookin at over 500 on the wheels.

Oh ok then so Tezza bought a brand new MAF meter and not long after it went west due to water damage!

Duffman and Warren...you make me laugh! Had your filters on for over a year and no problems?

That's coz your cars have been standing still for 90 percent of that time! ROFLMFFFFFAAAAAAOOOOOOO biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Ah but the arguement is that the HKS destroys MAS over time with letting the oil onto the wire.... NOT by rain gulping in...
