That`s it!!!! Had enough!! JAE Dream is over :(

Bonnet closed, dummy has been spat!!! just no time left for JAE :(

I`ve literally changed every ecu, relay, fuse 3 times and the bitch still wont start :( ...I`ve done process of elimination on most stuff and sick of it now, tried the pump ecu and relay in my tt and they work fine, I`ve broken my series 2 ptu getting it out ,lucky I had another and still wont start,

so..symptoms now are, it`s turning over and neat petrol smell from exhausts, not even a hint of firing, I have NO spark on spark plugs :( ..spark plugs are very wet

The pump is pumping approx 1 litre of fuel in 25 seconds

I have ripped out all of my immobiliser system and reconnected the loom :(

I cant even make it to Zedworld now :(

I am just pissed off !!!!!

Get the aa to recover it to jae, that gives us all 3 days to fix it so you can go home.

Otherwise i might have a chance of the best vert award :p

Ha,ha :) I`m sure you all would too ;) you can have that prestigious award this year Ian :)

does it flood on all 6 cylinders when she overfuels?

Yes, but not 100%, as I only tried the 4 front sparks as the others are a bit of a pain to get at , what you thinking?

Sorry to hear all the hassles you got Daz! :(

Bet you are well past pissed off :(

Thanks Rich, yep well pissed mate, BUT!!! I`ve had 2 good years with it and she`s never let me down before mate, so not so bad, Its just typical bad timing for JAE ;(

Daz, I know from what Jamie said you must be at the end of your patience, BUT from experience I would hazzard a guess that it is something you have been very close too or even actually dealt with but whilst looking for the problem it has created new ones.

I can see how everyone is offering help and advise and despite you going through things many times it must seem impossible to track down.

But Daz I have every confidence we can get you going as it just needs a clean view on it, I could have got it collected tonight if I had know earlier!!! one of your local recovery companies could have it to us in a couple of hours, tonight even if it helps, and you wait at home and come down on the train later once all is done.... just a thought.

Jeff, I really appreciate that mate, I feel like I have let you down by not getting there tomorrow, but I can't afford £250, just for recovery mate, I really want you to fix it and I will bring it myself,i can hire a car trailer next time you have space and my work load is down :-)

roobarb ur not far from me, i'm at junction 18 m6 Middlewich!

I drive thru middlewich quite often if the motorway is busy!

For the sake of 10 mins mate, do yer ECU dianostic the ole fashioned way direct from the ECU turning the screw.

If your still getting a clear 55 then that eliminates a number of things for you.

And shots :) lol

Sorry to hear this mate. I'm sure if you could get your zed to Jeff he would sort it for you.

One thing to try is make sure that the ecu connector is not over tightened, this can actually cause the connector to bow in the middle and give you intermittent connections at the ends of the plug.

worth a shot if you haven't already checked it.

oK Steamer, will try that mate, just out of curiosity... does the ecu have to be bolted down for an earth?

My thinking is that Yes it does, but I may be wrong. You certainly don't want it flapping about tho' mate.
