Sluggish on takeoff

At santa pod the car didn't pick very well from takeoff, was 0.5sec slower getting to 60ft and 330ft than another auto 300zxtt that was less modified than mine. Thinking of reasons why it happened. Running it on 0.95bar until it is tuned. I held it on the brake at 2000rpm before getting away and I was using octane booster (too rich and therefore holding on 2000rpm flooded it and it kinda stalled on takeoff??) Other than that I can't think of a reason unless there is an engine problem? Ideas/Comments/suggestions?

I'm surprised that eiether you or Macca didn't snap up that Level 10 torque convertor that was up for sale a few days back - that would provide you with a competitive advantage.

Has pod been resurfaced??? If it has you may need to change your take off technique slightly. If there is more grip then the engine will bog down more, causing the turbos to come slightly off boost... if you see my line of thinking....

Not sure what a level 10 torque convertor was adn didn't want to chance making the car undriveable. It had been resurfaced recently but people were having some really good times, eg. Colin/300 13.13s his best ever and as far as I saw the best 300 time of the day and the MR2 Turbo that got the 12.666s time. I think that it was either the fact that I'm using octane booster and the plugs are one range colder, that I was holding it on 2k rpm revs on the brake and partially flooding the engine, that the new HKS ALC is a problem or that the Auto ECU had not had time to relearn some new characterisitcs from it or finally and most worryingly that there is another problem with the autobox not delivering take off power. Not sure about the new ALC I understadn it should make no difference until high revs are applied so it shouldn't be part of a take off problem, should it? Any opinions on the above options? I may go back to Santa Pod this Sunday instead of going to Donny in the Park at Avon raceway to test out these theories as I'm sure the 1/4 drag queue at Avon will be long and boring.
