I'm finally going to get the car tuned by john dixon on Saturday. So I thought it might be nice for people to guess what power I will come back with (providing it doesn't go tits up)

 

So a basic run down on the spec that'll probably make a difference...

Forged internals - eagle rods etc etc

Greddy td05 16G turbos

740cc nismo injectors

AMS Underdrive pulley

New splitfire coilpacks

All the usual stuff like air filter and exhaust etc.

Southbend clutch and RPS segmented flywheel

Can't remember all the other basic stuff

 

So come on guess away. Feel free to ask if anything else is done

I'm not too sure what's happened with the timing as it was right the last time it was checked. Maybe the CAS unit is bust???

It wasn't all checked just before going on the dyno. To be honest I didn't have the time between getting the nod to have it done (finally) and actually coming down. I get that I should have but on the other hand I'm glad I went anyway as the map that was on it was very poor. John said I'm lucky it hasn't blown up which is a testament to how strong the engine it'self is.

 

I'm going to do the exhaust next, any suggestions on what to go for?

What ecu are you running mate? And also what type of twin air filter are you running?

The ecu is a nistune. The air filter is just a single one. I have the doolz thingy at home but read very mixed reviews so decided not to bother with that

Twin air filters with your spec is a must mate, your losing alot of bhp that way, on mine im gonna fit a map sensor to eliminate the maf and run twin apexi's , once you sort your exhaust and filters ( if u decide to ) you will def get past 500.

Aas in Newcastle do custom exhausts and get really good reviews. Pop along and see what he says.

How did they know it was the exhaust stopping any further power gain? Have you seen the group buy for AMS headers that Mark Derby is sorting out?

It'll be a couple of things mate, exhaust was only 2" so would restrict what I can put through it.

The cams are standard.

The AMS manifolds won't work with his turbo's.

 

What's your current setup in terms of downpipe, decats, centre section and back boxes, then we can better advise what you need

So I have the full greddy setup but changed the manifolds recently to pentroof style ones.

 

As for the exhaust, it's a zaustec one but from looking t it the other day, the front section doesn't belong with the back, back halves pipes are only 2" and the front are 2.5-3" so I think I'd rather just get a full new exhaust system

Man how you got 2in pipe on there i dunno lol

anyways now your at the top end of peformance you need a decent free flowing zorst, forget mongoose, powerflow or japspeed, all nice bits of kit but are simply OEM complete replacemnets with no difference in design.

I checked ebay and google.uk and nowt comes up, so either second hand on a breaker or if funds allow a system from the US, IMO not much betters Greg Dupress stuff at SpecialtyZ.

I imported mine from there and came within bout 4 days, not cheap but then his systems are designed for power! which if i was you, i'd focus on :-)
