HEAVY STEERING?

MY STEERING HAS GONE REALLY HEAVY!!!

id just changed my oil pressure sender unit, which wasnt where i thought it was supposed to be???

for some reason i thought it was supposed to be next to the oil filter,it wasnt ,it was under the left turbo?????

near the oil filter(to the right )there is a electric connection,to a barrel shaped object.now i thought this was the oil pressure unit,it wasnt, when i went to take it off ,i had transmision fluid or anti freeze leak out.

WHY DID I THINK THIS WAS THE OIL JOBBY?

Anyway i had another look round and found a connection exactly the same as the unit id just bought so i guess this is the oil pressure unit

OR HAVE I COCKED UP?????

The oil pressure sensor location does vary from car to car and I haven't quite worked out the rules. However, I do know that on my Jap car it's on the drivers side and on Tim's UK car it's on the passenger side. However, this could also be to do with Series I/II changes etc ...

twin turbo .net does like to fook with our uk heads dont it?

im guessing that when i took the connector off and drained some steering fluid, thats why im getting heavy steering.

1 thing is good tho my oil pressure seems better.jay

My Series I Jap car is on the passenger side (there's a blanking plug on the drivers side).

And yeah, sounds like you unscrewed the PS pressure switch, oops..
