hi all i seem to have gained a water leak into the cabin it's coming dripping from the platic clip that holds the sunvisor (just above the rear view mirror) not a huge leak but all the same a leak, have checked the targa drain and that seems to be connected ok, i also have water ingress around the rear wiper grommet so getting a wet boot every time i open it, mine is just sat on the surface of the tailgate which does not seem right i thought it should of passed therough the tailgate like a normal grommit would, could someone confirm this for me?

cheers all

it will also depend on how you park the car (what angle) and the rubber seal around the targa, take the roof off make sure everything is clean and the rubber is sealed to the body well.

clean the rubber with some black to black or rubber protection to make it more supple and seal better.

when you put the pipe back on also use a sealant and cable tie, careful you don't pull it out of the grommet through the front wing (the drivers side is a nightmare to get back in.. lol).

JeffTT has some threads on leaks.

A year old thread not sure lol. but if you are having a leak in the same place, it could well be the centre roof bar front rubber piece deteriorated and letting water in, very unlikely the targa seals or drain tube is to blame in the centre

Roof leaks are often difficult to pinpoint, but if its the middle, i would first take down the roof liner and see if there is any obvious signs of where the water is getting in, then get a bucket of water or run a hose on the roof and sit in the car. If the its the roof bar seal, remove the 10mm bolts, remove the bar and use some sealant before re seating the bar. If the front outer rubber is perished or cracked, chances are you may be getting water in there.

I have to say its not that common for the centre bar to cause leaks.

I had water coming through from the drivers visor left fixing, had a new windscreen fitted and it hasn't happened since :)
