As the title suggests, it seems very sloppy and loose when in Neutral. goes into all gears fine but just feels less smooth around the middle. It feels as if a spring has gone. although it still springs back when its pulled to each side.

Anybody help?

Sounds like your gear stick bushes have given up, only small and they are cheap, i got some from zedworld new but never fitted them as my short throw gear leaver had Polly ones already in, PM me your Addy you can have them, they are brand spankers new as well.

well, as you will be removing the exact same item so will have access to the bushes, its up to you what you want to spend, £5 plus postage on the bushing, or how ever much the short shift comes too.

I always liked the idea of a short shift so think i'll go with that. but i won't need to get new bushes aswel as a short shift kit?

I bought some bronze collets from Z1, they do away with both the bushes and the metal insert, probably last the life of the car as well.

 

I think yewcheck is placing an order with Z1 soon.
