August 18, 201213 yr fit somebrembro discs and calipers today bled up brakes but pedal travel is longer than before with the standard set up just wondered if id missed bleeding somewhere car stops and there is no apparent loss of fluid it feels like there is air in the system can anyone help
August 18, 201213 yr Did you bleed the ABS pump? Shouldn't really need to if you just changed the callipers but worth a try??
August 18, 201213 yr Author is the abs pump in the boot and is it the same bleed proceedure as the calipers
August 18, 201213 yr Author Did you bleed the ABS pump? Shouldn't really need to if you just changed the callipers but worth a try?? its as if the rears are working harder than the fronts does it matter if the fronts are brembro and the rears are standard
August 18, 201213 yr Nah, shouldnt matter Did you bleed in the correct order? start from the closest brake to the master cylinder to the furthest
August 18, 201213 yr Author Nah, shouldnt matter Did you bleed in the correct order? start from the closest brake to the master cylinder to the furthest does that include the rears even though they werent touched or do i just bleed the 2 fronts plus these calipers have 2 bleed nipples 1on the inside and 1 on the outside
August 18, 201213 yr Dont think rears need bleeding, try bleeding again, remember to leave open the resovoir lid/cap, leave enough fluid in it. try bleeding through both nipples, I'm not familiar with Brembos to be honest. I think the reason your rears are working hard is because your having to press the brake pedal really hard for the fronts to work.

August 18, 201213 yr yeah, driver side front, passenger side front, driver side rear and then passenger side rear just do the fronts in your case. I imagine the calipers are pretty big hence they have 2 nipples, bleed via bother nipples, once you feel pedal feels nice and tight, move on to the next caliper dont forget to keep the brake fluid lid open with plenty of fluid in it and dont let it run empty. see how that goes mate
August 19, 201213 yr Author I assume you have installed the calipers the right way up ???????? the calipers have the bleed nipples at the top
