I'm trying to fit the bose speaker boxes today. it turns out the wiring is already there with the correct plugs to fit. however its not working, the speakers work without the little amp but not with. unfortunately i've left my multimeter at work so i don't know if there's voltage there. So i'm guessing because the car wasn't fitted with them originally then it'll just be missing the fuse. but seen as though my fuse board label is in hieroglyphics i have no idea where to start. and the search function isn't helping me.

Anyone able to shed some light?

Thanks Rob, I managed to find sumat similar through google, http://diy.icydesigns.com/article/390/Nissan/300ZX/Z32_(1990-96)/Fuses_and_Locations/

Didn't help me though, tried a fuse in both of the audio slots at the top and still couldn't get the amp to work. I'll just have to wait till i have a multimeter. didn't really prepare myself very well today.

The bose amps were turned on by the stereo. Standard adapter plugs for aftermarket stereos tend to not include this cable.

If you find the loom going to the speakers from the headunit it should have 2 wires for each speaker and one to switch the amp on ( and maybe another wire, ground? ) when you find the right wire splice into the stereo ignition feed or remote amp out, or elec arial out

I'll have a look at that. I thought that the amp feed was from a separate relay with a 10A fuse but it I get on when I get another chance.does make sense to have the stereo switch the relay. seen as the amp doesn't have a remote feed, I'll let you know how I get on when i have another chance.
