The door open light on the dash, may be the boot lock need adjusting, the lock mechanism carries voltage and if slightly loose will put the dash light and interior light on.[/url]

Hi,

as Groover has pointed out the fuse box you need to look at is the one in the drivers foot well.

also check any earths/grounds near where you've been messing with the wires.

Cheers for the info.....however I had a look at the fuse they seem'd fine to me but nevertheless I replaced them both and it made no difference. Could it deffinatley be the earth? Thanks

The best thing to do is take every fuse out - time consuming and awkward I know, making sure the value of each fuse is of the correct ampage according to the chart above when you replace, you do need to be 100% sure all is good before you can move on

Previous owners will have 'messed' and I bet not all fuse sizes are correct :glare:

Did you check the fuses by eye or with a meter? some may look fine, but as Andy said you need to be sure before moving on to another area.

as above...

however not having earth.grounds connected right can cause all kinds of issues....

My electric antenna wouldn't work until I found a loose earth under the stereo, on the hump/body....

I will try remove the stereo and see if theres any loose wires about as I have opened the whole boot and checked for the earth it seems to be firmly screwed on...

  • Author

Well there's actual voltage coming in to the adaptor for the stereo so the fuses are all ok disbelieve but nothing still works?
