Whats the best clutch to go for?

Hi everybody

Thinking of replacing the clutch soon.

Standard UK car but I want it to take

into account an upgraded exhaust and

induction setup , as that may happen in the future , funds permitting!

Thanks

Mark

I would reccomend an RPS stage 2 or Cyclone 3.5 for your car. There are many other good ones too.

Whatever avoid the centerforce dual friction, many people have problems with this one wearing out quickly.

Hi Guys,

I haven't studied clutches but I thought the stock clutch could handle up to 400bhp flywheel competently.

Would it really be necessary to spend out on an upgraded clutch for an upgraded exhaust and airfilter?

Thanks guys

Some people love the centreforce and

some think its crap!

Is there a particular one thats better

or is it just guesswork?

Surely theres something better than the

Nissan one!

Hi I have an Act street clutch fitted and it is much better than the standard clutch. My standard clutch started to slip after about 360-370 HP. The act clutch has about 50% more pedal pressure than the standard clutch so I would recommend you fit a new lever fork and test the slave cylinder to make sure its all in good condition when fitting the new one.

I put the CENTERFORCE dual friction clutch in my 300 approximatly 10,000 km ago so far no probs and i like the feel

I just purchased a Centerforce Dual Friction, but haven't installed it yet. What's supposedly the problem with this one? Why do some people love it while others hate it?

Its a very nice clutch, but wont handle much more power than stock, if you go anywhere near 360 bhp i think it will go fairly soon.

plus for the price there are far better options that can hold far more power.

i managed to warp my centerforce within a few thousand miles around 3000 i think lol
