I was asked by a friend to come and have a look at his mates red uk tt auto zed as he's thinking of parting with it.

I was told that the car had been sitting for quite a long time, but it was once a cover car.

When i got there, the car looked quite nice from a distance, nice kit, very nice wheels etc.

When i got close up though, i could tell that it was in a very bad state of disrepair.

There was mold and moss in various places, the laquer was peeling and had blatently not had a single once of love for god knows how long!

I had a little feel under the blended skirts only to find the sills literally turning to dust! such a shame, as the bloke told me when he bought it about 5 years ago it cost him 9 grand!!!!

Any way i let the bloke know that as far as the shell is concerned, it had pretty much had it and not to get his hopes up on getting much for it.

I did say to him however that if broken would be worth quite a bit (no where near the price he paid for it though).

I was going to take some photo's to see if anyone recognised it or not and if anyone was interested in buying it to strip, but as soon as i went to take the photo's the battery in my camera died.

i will be getting some photo's of it in the next few day to put up so if anyone is interested then get in contact

Another rusty zed :( shame really, but each one that gets scrapped makes all our`s a little bit rarer :D

unfortunately he doesn't want another one, as in his own words they are money pits, i agree with this but i would have said a labour of love myself.

That is a nice zed you have there! if i had the money, i would have had that off you! but i've sunk pretty much all my money into my "labour of love" or "money pit".

any project like this is a money pit :P GTO's, Skylines, RX7's... we all like to benefit from classic car insurance but we pay the price with the evil orange creeper! need to whip my back bumper off, and see if the bubble i've got is more sinister.

Is this one dark red and has a massive rear spoiler? Pretty sure I've seen it on Ebay, always thought it would look better in the pictures than it would in reality...

i know the car that you are talking about, this is not the same one. I don't think the bloke who owns the one near me has even tried selling it before. He is only toying with the idea of selling/stripping now since i was mentioned to him as being an enthusiast and that i could possibly help him get a few quid for it.
