As most of you are aware i bought my zed but discovered a rust problem, so thought why do half a job !

 

Heres some pics of the work so far, more to follow when shes eventually finished, i know some die hards might not like it, but i do :)

Thought if doing the rust, needed a respray so why not be a bit different, so bonnet, roof bars and tail gate all going black........ seen it on an Audi R8 and thought it would look cool :)

Getting excited :)

 

She's almost finished, had probs with the primer cracking on bumpers and spoiler, was supposed to be the correct one for the job but after 3rd on its finally ok :)

 

One slight perk was coz bumpers got mucked up I got my wheels refurbed !!

 

Got to admit its taken far longer than expected but it was mates rates and paying off bit by bit, but he has done a fab job !

That's looking great, like the black and white contrast! Never been a fan of proper black black wheels, had some before and they go a funny browny colour when dirty!

 

Looking forward to seeing it finished....

We it's been a journey but she's back on the road :) not everything done I wanted but lack of funds and NOT missing another summer there's a few things will have to wait til the winter, fit skirts, rear bumper, refurb 18" wheels and interior.

 

Here's what's been done.......

 

O/s rear sill replaced

O/s/r wheel arch replaced

N/s rear sill patched/welded

Targa drain re-located

Veilside front bumper

Led combined indicators/side lights

Clear side repeaters

Nismo type nose panel

Blitz filter

Samco hoses

Silicon radiator hoses

Japspeed radiator

Czp s/s rad bracket

Relocate gearbox oil cooler user a jap oil cooler

Leather gear change

New windscreen

Petrol tank and straps

99 spec rear lights

Cobra de-catted s/s exhaust

Wheels returned in black (have got 18's to go on, thanks to silver surfer)

Re-spray in black/ white

It's taken me a long time and on a tight budget, I'd like to thank the guys on here for a lot of the suff and advice ive had off here !

Looking good, you should of turned those running lights on !!!

Thanks mate :) I did debate, but I've wired them up as just indicator/side lights rather than running lights, easy enough to change if I want though lol
