As i've mentioned in a previous thread, i've found a set of rims in Japan that i'm going to order. They are on yahoo auctions.

 

initially, i was going to use an agent to import the wheels but their fees will likely work out at around £500. Me no likey!

 

So i thought...... could i just order them myself and arrange for an international courier? Obvious problem being that i dont speak Japanese but £500 for fees just seems a bit greedy.

Does the auction say they will arrange shipping? You might be able to get them to ship them over or if not you could get them sent to a freight forwarding company

Havent a clue lol. I've emailed the seller though to see if they can send direct. Otherwise, i might try an international courier. Might be a pain though without weight and package dimensions

Just made my order. Had a good few quotes from agents, part stores and direct from an international courier.

Most quotes were similar but delivery times varied from 3 days to 3 months. I have to say, everyone i spoke to was very helpful.

 

In the end, i've went with biddingninja. Very helpful, gave me a discount, lowered shipping prices, negotiated with seller for a lower rate and best of all, my wheels should arrive within 2 weeks. Oh yeah

I would definately recommend using these guys.
