Was thinking of going for the satin black look?

I sprayed the rear quater and a bit of the bumper today and i think i liked but would be scarey doing a full car

Has anyone got that pic of the black zed with the scarab bumper. Anyone got any pics of satin black zeds.

one thing i will say is it has gone from a classy looking car to an evil one :cool3:

My mrs is from Essex and we went to Southend for the weekend last August bank Holiday and had only been in the b&b 10mins before someone said " what part of Wales you from"!!!...erm..im not Welsh!.

track car = matt/satin as its easy to cover up any driving mistake's/chip's

road car = gloss

I use satin black all the Time . My z32 is done inside with it. But its 2K paint

the 240Z that is having the satin grey outside is all finished inside in satin black.

They are not typical road cars tho . Eg they have no/minimal interior trim. No carpets etc. So the satin black suits the motorsport look.

Even matt black looks good on the outside if properly sprayed. if anyone has seenMike(Mr F at MJP)'s Z31 SWB you will know how menacing the colour can be.

what gives satin/matt finishes a bit of a bad name in the looks league is people who just buy 12 cheap rattle cans and use them.

Nothing wrong with that if funds are tight BUT the final look is always like you spent £36..IMO

For 95% of you out there including Dave/Car Mad gloss is still the better option.

So Im going to vote Gloss for Dave:thumbup:

Yeah thats what i was thinking Pete. might look a bit odd going down the road. my car has nothing in is at the min no doors and no glass etc so the satin looks race ready like you said and looks cool.

But on the road well hmmmm

Can I suggest something totally different this is my wild card BMW Marrakesh Brown:drool: here's an old school Jap with it on.
