Dark Windows ???

Anyone got them - I know scoops has them from when he bought the car. I reckon they look cool on a Z.

How much does it cost to do ?

What is done exactly ?

Is it reversible?

Where is the best place to buy it ?

Who thinks it looks cool ?

Do you have to be a drug dealer to get it done ?

Can you do it yourself ?

Any technical explanations of how it works ?

What exactly is it called ? Tinted ? Smoked ?

1) cost between 200 and 250 depends where you go

2) Film is stuck on the inside of the glass

3) why would you want someone to see in but you not be able to see out!!

4) anywhere who does it properly, ask to see some of their jobs

5) personal choice

6) no but it helps

7)no, **** of a job if not done properly

8) reduses the light coming in, like a pair of shades!!

9) used to be called a tint but started to be called privicy glass.

is yours within the legal guidlines mac?

its only 35% of light is allowed to be bloced isnt it? does that mean it doesnt mean how dark it is as long as on the inside 65% of light gets through?

can't you get it so that vision out is the same yet vision in is dark ?

like 2-way mirrors ?!

£80 for me back window, done the rest myself.....

"T".......

No but you could have 2-way mirror glass windows manufactured for the Z?

I'll get me coat... LOL

Looks really good on my silver Z but I need the rear window re-doing after replacing the hatch.

The tint film comes in different densities.

You can use a dark tint for the rears where it's not a legal problem and then use the 35% stuff on the front.

The cops now have a hand held unit they can put either side of your glass and test the light transmission.

My mate used to have the full dark tint on the front of his Renault 5 Turbo before they brought the rules in and he had to wind his windows down at junctions and at night to see.

Not good - especially in the rain!

insurance companies will also refuse to pay out if the front tint is illegal

How about 2-way mirror polycarbonate windows - then u get less weight and cool looks..

but you have no money for petrol !!

Macca,

I am bit worried about the Nissan micra parked by your car, it seems to have a Nuclear Bomb Mushroom cloud coming out of the sunroof.

Surely thats no way to test you window tinting, I doubt if it could take a nuclear flash!

Probably petes paintwork would be alright though!

Mark

LMFAO! biggrin.gif

That's what should happen to all Micra's!
