Does anybody by chance have the measurements for each of the (4) individual hard brake lines for an NA SWB zed (incorporating the additional length of the braided hose from the line to the caliper).

The ABS and stock hard brake lines that run the full length of my zed (underneath) are being binned. I'm also replacing the current TT BMC with that of an NA (so that I have 4 x brake line outputs rather than the 2 x brake line outputs that the TT comes with as standard due to it being fitted with ABS from the factory)

The hard brake lines are being replaced with single lengths of braided lines from each output of the NA BMC, direct to each individual caliper. This will enable the correct 'T' piece fitting of my hydro handbrake, will tidy the whole lot up and will enable the lines to be run inside the car.

*Note: pulling fuses/unplugging ECU and 'T' piecing in behind the ABS unit does not work, especially with 8 pot calipers and has resulted in a very spongy brake pedal, hence why I'm doing this.

I have been advised to go down the same route that a few of the 'S' body guys have gone down. DB Power have said that they can supply the braided lines as long as I can get them the measurements.

If anybody knows the measurements that will save me a fair bit of time as I'm working away from home at the moment, if not then I guess it'll just be a case of running a para cord mock up once I have the zed up on ramps

cheers guys

Would you be able to simplify and shorten the route doing it as a single line and it would be different anyway if you run it inside the car?

Are there any issues doing this as one piece in regards to pedal feel? A few of us were having this conversation on zxclub a couple of days ago and there were varied views

It might be possible to go a slightly shorter route but to be honest I'd be concerned about it (a) snagging on something (coilover etc) or (b) putting any strain on the connections due to being a tad too short

The difference in running inside the shell compared to underneath the shell is negligable as I was going to follow the same route as the hard lines, therefore intending on (where possible) using the same entry/exit holes on the shell; although enlarged slightly to accomodate the larger OD.

Having spoken to a few guys who have done it on 'S' bodies and a Soarer, I'm pretty happy that the pedal feel will be fine. to be fair it can't get much worse than it is at the moment so anything will be an improvement. If it doesn't work out I'll just try something else.

I'll keep my options open regarding supplier, it all depends on quality and cost

Let us know what you decide on, what it costs and how well it works, im really interested to know
