I havent read all the replies but isnt the new iPjone 5 coming out soon? You will be stuck with the old iPhone for a year or so. Although the video and camera quality is really good, i was impressed watching a video a friend made, it was better then my tv!

I`ve ruled the I-phone out Zulley, its just old and lifeless!! who knows what the 5 has in store, but I don`t think its going to top the latest Androids myself :)

Also the pinch to zoom has been on touchscreen devices for years. It's on my Medion Sat Nav from 2001 for a start! Which is running....ahem....Windows CE

We all know they copy each other, it's like too car manufactures taking each other to court because they both have circular wheels on them, personally although I favour the iPhone, I'm happy that it just rings in and out and that it's relatively painless to use, I've had complicated phones before and to be honest although they are great devices, I'm getting old so just want things to work, which is what's the iPhone does, it plays me games, gets me on the web, can take photos / video and it's simple to use, I don't have to go scouring the web to figure out how to do something on it, yes it's a pain in the rear being tied to apple if you don't jailbreak it, but then thats where the fun comes in.

Though I do like winding people up about it, it's almost as sad as people arguing over the Xbox 360 vs the ps3, if the device you have does the job you want it to do, then what's the problem?

I think the biggest thing about apple though, is because most are now tied to iTunes, unless you get an iPod, then you really can't transfer those tunes you brought to another device, even if swap phones ( as in brand ), one of the reasons I've never purchased music off of iTunes, I've always ripped me own to the library and put them on that way. Then I'm not stuck with music on an account I can only listen too through my pc / laptop if I ever got rid of my iPhones / iPad

If I was looking for a new brand of phone, I'd defiantly consider going back to HTC as I had a good experience with that brand last time, though think I'll still stay away from samsung though, had one before and it got annoying having to reset the damn thing everytime it locked up or froze

Hang on, hasnt Samsung just been fined £600mil for copying this off apple? Or was that for other stuff too?

Been iphone fan for ages (even worked at Apple). But tried S3 this year - fook me, not going back to iphone 4/S unless apple comes out with something as good. Very easy to work with, battery is better, camera much better and reception is way much better. Plus a lot of apps are free on Android and you have to pay for them (for being loyal apple follower) on itunes ...

And i'm not even starting on how easy is to trasfer music and movies to Android ... even without cables... even when you are not home ... even if your PC at home is switched off... (seriously, possible)

iPhone 5 will be due out soon I believe. I think the Galaxy S3 is far superior to the iPhone 4s though.
