I worked for a mobile company for years and have a new new phone every month (Janus will verify the many boxes of phones I have) to test and can honestly say everybody's comments are feasible. Phones are so emotive these days, they are the company cars of yester year..

The best advice I have seen on here is go and try some, but above all think what do I want from my phone, if its a great camera Sony, if you like to play android, if you want something that does the job and allows you simply get the apps then iphone. Have to jailbreak it though..

Android has just taken over as the number one os and the Samsung is this years device.

Saying that I cannot get away with Android so I have an Iphone as it does exactly what I want.

I also like the apple experience. Ive moved from Linux to mac in the house because its easier for the kids.

My advice, list want you want the phone to do and then go and try a few..

I did try the android tablet recently and keeping the security upto date really pissed me off so went back to the ipad...

Voted for the S3, I have read a few reviews and its certainly give the iPhone a beating. I will be upgrading to it in amonth or two.

I also have the Desire Daz and agree it's a great phone, my daughter DESIRE even survived 2 dunks in water, although the third finally killed it for good, lol

Anyone tried the Samsung note? Alot bigger trying to be a tablet...... Perhaps getting ready to compete with the new smaller iPad thats coming our way

added stuff

its quite funny to see all the things that we want from a phone, wether it be camera, apps, smooth operating and so forth, but knowone has mentioned if its any good at making calls lol

LOL - so true Allan....

....hence I did not cast a vote!! My phone is just that - a telephone - it has a camera of sorts but what it does best is make/receive calls and texts. Simples!!

Richard:biggrin:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

iphone 4S all the way for me - its the simplicity that I love. The simplicity is almost genius in its creation. Whereas most things seem to have to be overly complicated to make it "advanced" its just the way the iphone works so easily is a winner for me.

The phone/screen is a perfect size for me - I hope apple dont get caught up in the almost tablet sized phnes for future releases - it looks like Dom Jolly with some of the phones coming out now!!

plus I get in my car - plug into my ipod interface for all my tunes. Go to a hotel here or abroad & most have audio with ipod interfaces in the room. Not seen any "HTC interfaces" yet LOL! :p

all in all it does all I want & is clearly a quality product in design & as a finished product.

everyone is different & I know people seem to hate them (fook knows why if they are honest?! Its not like I hate any other product out there - I just prefer the iphone!)

anyway - get an iphone as the rest are crap copies at the best!!

Thanks for all the comments and input guys ,lol, I`m taking it all in and completely confused which one to get, my heads saying I-phone for a complete change, my heart is Sony for good pics and video :), I think personally for me the Samsung is going to be too big!! and the htc is just the same as I`ve already got , bar a few mods :)

I've got the one x, I wanted the bigger screen. Good for web browsing, camera is good and is very smooth. Good deals on it to. If you go for an iPhone best to wait for the new one in a couple of months

Well I use a Blackberry because I need a phone to communicate with people not to fanny about watching videos on a piddly 4 inch screen, while playin Angry Birds and masturbating over Siri while the battery dies.

Sand in vagina?? :)

I have to say as an anti apple person who fought tooth and nail, even suffering with two windows mobile 6 phones for a couple of years work pushed me into getting an iphone, a 3gs, as a massive bender I now have two, still the 3gs and 4s. They are brilliant, and as much as people bleat on about android being customizable, and great and this and that and the other as ive found most people that say that, I ask them to do a simple task and the normal response is "err, well I cant at the moment" or "for some reason the battery keeps draining" or if they do start doing it (my lass is a classic) by the time shes messed about getting a web browser up on her S2, I can have done it with the 4s.

I had an S1, it was annoying, buggy, bad on battery and built like chocolate. When it worked it was pretty good, I just found my self fixing stuff, closing programs, reinstalling things or looking for an app to do what I wanted 90% of the time.

I was in a pharmacy the other day and the pharmacist commented on my two iphones, stating his S2 was better so I said show me how and his response, well the web browser is broken at the minute and it keeps switching its self off...

Thats pretty much how ive seen it mate, i used to hate the iphone purely based on the fact it was an apple product and it was spreading like wild fire. then i was pretty much forced to have one (got it free so what the hell) since then, ive had 3 now and love them, never had any software issues at all, it just works.

and again, same thing as you get mate, ask someone to show you how its better and they always come up with an excuse. except me mate when he got his S3, though even he after having a play with the iphone, ended up with one and ditched the S3 lol

yeh, the IOS is very simple to use. All it is is a list of App buttons. (IOS is basically just what you see when you go into "Applications" on an Android).

I used to love my iPhone but would not want to go back now. The screens seem so tiny and the Interface so basic, and I would miss stuff I take for granted now like the Live wallpapers and multiple Homescreens, and the Widgets are a fantastic feature that IOS lacks.

My thoughts exactly. I have a S2 and use it as my phone and music player. when I was getting a new phone I found it was better spec than the 3GS but the cost was a lot lower, seemed to me there was a bit of paying for the name rather than the phone itself.the sd card slot to expand the memory which is a choice the iPhone didn't come with.

I swapped my iphone4 for a htc sensation as I fancied a change, whilst I do like the freedom on the htc (I.e. direct downloads without cost, reprogrammable etc....... The iPhone was certainly a more intuitive piece of equipment.

If you want a phone that's easy to use with most of the features you should have, then the iPhone is the one for you.

If your a bit more techy and like to play with the software then the htc is the one for you as there are forums full of different roms and different visual setups for you to choose from. Hope that helps :)

has the 3/4 and 4s had enough of i tunes etc, althouh great phones it will always be samsung s3 for me now, much easier to use for me. bigger screen you get used to, great for you know what lol.

I`ve still not decided yet, but it`s now getting a bit easier after looking ,feeling and testing at the phone shop!!!!, The I-phone is out!!!! too old, outdated, small, lifeless!!! HTC X is too bloody big and its too similar to what I`ve already got.....it was a close call with the Sony xperia s and the S3, but after having them side by side and testing all the features, speed etc, I can honestly say the s3 wins hands down for me!!! its just tooooooooooo big, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Surely they can pack all that tech into a smaller package, the hunt still goes on ................:)

I have the HTC Evo HD3D Love it .... its the best phone i have had ...

I phone may consider it again

Samsung / Sony .... Never again

the s3 is a great phone i have had it for a month or so now and had no problems. I know its big but to get a decent sized screen it has to be and rumor has it that the iphone 5 is going to bigger to compete with the s3. Either what and what and what for the iphone 5 which will proabaly be just as big as the s3 or just get the s3
