Hi guys,

The club has had a Facebook page for sometime now but its getting rather neglected

So I think its about time to ramp it back up and reach out to the world, if you have a Facebook account like the page.

Share it with your brother, sister, mother, father, friends and get everyone talking about the page.

If anyone has photos from past JAE or any club events post them onto our wall and tag yourself in the photos.

So follow the link below and start liking, posting, sharing and tagging.

I'll plug it on the work page tomorrow as we have 5,800 followers. Mind everyone on here has to like our page back please lol!

The key is updates, we post 4-8 funny car related pictures or cars/parts each day. Then when people like them others see the page, I've grown ours to almost 6k in 14 months like that.

Could be you !

lol

Do you see the page in a timeline style ?

Also the clubs main page only shows our posted articles by default as you said but theres a section

that lists user posts and a summary which you click on to see the posts.

All your friends should see your posts inline on there own pages.

I'll see if i can update the view so that the pics and posts show proper.

Ok Buddy, thanks for that, I did wonder why ;) and yes, I can see the page in timeline :)

I don't understand the point, am i missing something?

I come on the forum to read about 300zx , if a topic interests me it gets emailed to me

With the addition of a facebook club page, either

A) its all a repost and i will get emailed the same stuff twice plus loads of stuff i dont care about

Or

B) its all new material and i have to look in 2 places to find out about 300zx. A bit like having 2 300zx forums, you only want to sign up to one, but have to look at both in case you miss something important

Facebook in my terms is simply a promotion tool for the club !

The club posts a pic or posts an event and people like it; in turn that post gets shown to all of the friends of the person who liked it.

We can reach out to hundreds of people within a matter of minutes and it gives the opertunity for new members to come join us.

So its a like from me !

As a publicity thing i get it, but from a forum member point of view, if i dont have time to post my meet pictures to two places, do i choose the forum or the facebook. ( Thats 2 different uploads, at least 2 forums is one upload to photobucket and post the links into 2 forums, and i dont often bother to do that)

If i choose facebook, thats less info on the forum, less talk on the forum, less meets, less members?

If i choose the forum, thats less new people finding out about the forum

Brain overload

A feed can be set up so posts on here are automatically sent to Facebook and Twitter, thus eliminating the need to manually post twice or three times
