HI Guys, if ant of you IT guys can help i'd appreciate it. I upgraded my PC from a 8yr old Dell workstation to a newer Dell Optiplex 745, 2gz with 3 gb ram. Now i have attached a USB drive where i store my films, when this was attached to the old PC i shared the drive and could watch film on another PC via wireless to the hub then via cable to the host PC. However no this host PC has changed, when i try to watch anything there is awful buffering delays which i never had on the previous PC. Oh, this new pc even has a 1gb connection to the hub..

Can anyone help decipher what is happening.

USB drives can sometimes diminish over time, try transferring one of the files to the pc and playing it from there?

It seemed to "diminish" instantly, the day i changed the PC, one quickie, how is the best and most reliable way to check if the USB port are USB2 or not.?

Have you tried plugging the drive into another USB port? According to Dell, all the ports on your PC are USB 2.0. Did the drive have any software installation discs? It may need a driver to run at full speed on your new pc. You can also check your BIOS to make sure all the USB ports are running at version 2, it may be that the have been set to version1 for compatibility reasons (shouldn't be but worth checking).

What OS are you using and are you on BT Infinty? what version homehub are you on?
