Well the rain held off tonight and it was a nice pleasant evening for trying my new wheels out for size

Big thanks to Marty for letting me borrow his arches to help with measurements/decision making etc. These pictures are just a mock-up for now, but its the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to start...

RIP my Tokyo Nissan sticker.... and hello sexy 240Z metal badge (not fitted properly yet) :thumbup1:

Comments welcome, I'm well aware my car isn't to everyone's taste, and I'm probably about to lose a few more fans... I dont care

Thanks jimmer, it may come across as a nice clean import from the pictures, but in reality its a UK model that has its fair share of rusty blebs, the whole styling all round is a little wacky, I think I'd rather get hold of another one and keep that tidy, and just make this one a bit on the wild side. :)

Gaz - I believe they are copies of JUN arches

Yes indeedy', now slam it to the deck and dial in a bit more negative camber....job done

Not sure if I dare take it any lower pez, not unless I can get the exhaust lifted a bit... it already hits cats eyes

Is there any downsides to adjusting the camber, I guess it'll knacker the tyres mega quick if it goes too far?

Crikey! could of camped in those at Silverstone

Can't help thinking a full wide arch would suit them better, but the Rims are superb and will no doubt improve with the arches filled and blended

Get the arches on and dial in the stance!! that will look epic! reckon 10mm on the front and maybe 15-20mm down on the rear and thats job done. Oh and some camber as previously mentioned.

haha, I like that!

This sorta thing is all new to me, I said aaaaages ago I want to improve the stance and I think now its time...

Might have a play with the suspension tomorrow, btw the wheels on the front and the old rear ones but will be having new thinner tyres fitted to get them tucked in :)

To get it sitting right it really is just trial and error. My car history is all VW/Audi and that is all about stance etc. Already know the exact spec of wheels i want for the zed to have it sit right ( just need to find the right wheels now!! ) I wont be going with additional arches right enough, doesnt really suit the red of my car. Yours on the other hand they look perfect for.

Which leads me to my next suggestion....

If you go mad to the point where it looks daft then yes it'll knacker the tyres and will handle like a bag of snails, but a reasonable amount of negative camber shouldn't cause any major increase in tyre degredation and according to the techs at Hereford Tyres who set mine up on their Hunter system, a bit of negative camber will improve traction under spirited 'B' road/track driving conditions.

Theres no doubt about it, a full wide arch kit would look lots better but I haven't got ££££ to spend...

my Z isn't the tidiest around, and I'm not scared to make it look different and stand out! Its all slowly coming together and looking unique and just how I want it

Cheers John! although theres no pleasing some people

looks ok actually :)

I have to ask though, how skinny are those tires!

Baz the wheels are epic mate, make them look better by fitting a proper wide ass and replacing the over stretched tyres, I do know the look you want, but it looks a bit chavvy to me, do it proper and she`s a show stopper dude :thumbup1:

Reading through this and at the end Daz put down my thoughts exactly......in for a penny and all that.

And look at the kind of girl you will end up with
