BHP?

My 300zx is a 94-T/T with HKS intake, Stainless pipes and a JWT ECU running at 13PSI of boost. It's been dynoed at 343BHP(Flywheel).

What sort of power is everybody else getting with the same sort of setup?

I'm looking to go for about 400BHP so if anybody has any ideas of the best way to achieve this, it would be appreciated.

I'm anticipating big intercoolers, turbos and injectors but maybe i need some internal stuff to cope with this hardware!

internals will be fine for that sort of power, but you will need injectors and intercoolers first.

with the right jwt upgrade that should get what you are looking for.

then go for turbos, knowing that fuelling can cope

Andy, I'm trying to get together a bunch of guys (and gals) who want to purchase an intercooler.

With your mods, which are similar to mine, an intercooler would be a good next step.

See my post on the main forum.

Mine was recently dyno'd at approx 266bhp at the wheels using the JWT chip and mods similar to yours. I wouldn't expect there to be a great deal of difference between them normally. This is on an auto, what is yours ?

What was your rear wheel bhp and how did they estimate the transmission losses ?

The engine internals are good for about 550-600 so no probs there, so long as it is setup alright.

That power figure sounds correct for that type of setup.

So what would be the dyno reading on a standard 300zx tt (from what I can read definitely not 280HP!!!!!!)

Sorry guys - i have no idea why this post has come up! i posted it last year!!!

For the record i've got the 400BHP now, well almost.

I think Dimitri found your old post.

To answer Dimitri, same dynos will give a figure for At wheels and others at the crank.

A standard Zed will normally show 230-240 at the wheels

here is my dyno reading at the wheels, was pretty standard only air filter at the time.
