News Report:

Remember this poor Jaguar XJ220 found abandoned in the Qatari desert? Now we have an image of something even sadder: a Ferrari Enzo left to rot in Dubai.

The supercar is just another victim among possibly thousands of luxurious and rare cars abandoned in the Middle East, mostly by expatriates returning home after failed business ventures or real estate deals gone sour.

It was spotted in a police impound, which means it’s likely to be auctioned off. But in a region where thermometer readings can easily--and often do--exceed 115 degrees F, there’s a very good chance that much of the car could be severely damaged.

With only 399 Enzos officially sold to the public, and a number already gone due to the careless action of their owners, plus now this example abandoned in Dubai, it’s safe to say that getting your hands on a pristine Ferrari Enzo will soon be next to impossible.

Pricing for the car can easily reach more than a $1 million, that is, if you can even find one up for sale.

We just hope other Enzo owners look after their cars better than this one.

while on one of my post rounds a few months ago I looked in someones garage while walking past and saw a car under a cover. Had a sneaky closer look and could easily tell that it was a Lambo Contach and they where using the spoiler as a shelf to store bags of compost on!!!

these sort of pictures actually make me feel sick :(

I spent a good hour once looking through hundreds of pictures of american muscle cars once, if I got a quid for every time I shook my head I'd be minted!!

Some look like they are fixed, i.e getting ready for restoration. and some cars are on the photo list more than once.

Still no excuse :S

So sad to see - especially as there are some seriously, potentially expensive, classic motors there....

....the 300SL Gullwing, XK120, Lambo Miura and F40 being just a couple that would be serious collectors' cars nowadays. And that's before you get to the American muscle cars. We'll forget the Mk4 Supra though - no big loss there LOL - It brings a tear to my eye to see them all rotting away; especially when there are some folk who would rush to preserve a Morris Minor or (heaven forbid) an Austin Allegro!!!
