My rear break caliper came loose last night, one of the bolts had actually come clean out. It was just swinging on the disc. had to tighten the remaining bolt with a pair of pliers and limp home.

 

Finally got round to changing the disks last Monday so its obvious its because its been disturbed, so I think some lock-tight this time round is in order.

Has this happened to anyone else before?

Glad no damage was done, could you have forgot to tighten that one up?

Never heard of that happening but it's not to say it never has, did you torque it up correctly?

Happened to me once in the Spitfire, new bolt and it was fine after that...

It wasn't torqued, just horsed tight with a ratchet. I've managed to get a bolt tonight from a scrapyard. but weathers a bit crap to sort it now and I've got a rounded wheelnut to overcome first.
