As an interim measure , before getting the current TT engine repaired and upgraded I want to fit another TT ,which is currently configured for an Auto box (will be selling this in due course) The car is Manual.

I understood the only change is the spigot/ Collar in the main thrust plate (or something like that!) and as this engine is not fitted supplied with Turbo's I shall use the exsiting manual ones.

I can't find a definitive checklist for the changeover, but have read that flywheel needs to be fitted.

Would appreciate some guidance on this please.

Cheers

things to change or put on

flywheel

if no turbos, turbos (doesnt matter if they are manual or auto turbos, just one spools faster than the other)

Pilot bushing

thats it.

Phew! Thanks

Started to read about whole list of parts required.

I was going to buy a set of Auto Turbos because of the faster spooling (better acceleration?) but as needs must I will use the Manual ones, whilst repairs upgrades are done.

Autobox ECU if you havent already got one.

??? why would you need to do that? i fitted a auto n/a engine to my manual n/a and didn't have a problem, i fitted a manual tt engine to a auto tt and never had to change the ECU

The gearbox ecu not the main ecu. How will an auto work in a manual car without an autobox ecu?

My understanding is the op is using just the engine, not swapping a manual box for an auto.......i think he has got an autobox attached to the back of the engine he is going to fit and the manual box is already in the car so to speak.

Correct, Engine from Auto package being used as replacement for current manual installation. Thanks for the input and advice all.
