Ok, so I need to look at having my car mapped.

What should I do to prep the car in advance of having it done?

Tell me everything lol

Make sure it's running right, with no ECU errors. I'd also get it mapped on ordinary fuel on a hot day, that way you can be more confident that it will be ok on hot days, especially if high octane fuel is not available. (or have two maps that are switchable of course!)

No boost leaks

right temp plugs and gaps & spare plugs

no leaks

no air locks in coolant

right fuel for intended use

good tires

Timing set correctly

Great thanks guys. I would get it mapped on shell v-power as that's what te car always has. I'll check about the 2 different maps though... But I have nothing to swap between them at present.

I have the spare plugs and the temp rating is 8.

Waiting to check for leaks when I get the smoke matches

Tyres are great

How do I check for air locks in the coolant?

On the rollers they will probaby blow up the tyres anyway mate so im not too worried about that.

I have a spare brand new air filter so ill stick that on just before it goes on.
