I would avoid it to be honest mate, I bought one to sell on last year (the convertible) and it had loads of niggly faults plus its a Vectra underneath really!

as Sir charles says it is 60 per cent vectra running gear as long as it has been serviced and looked after properly they are good cars, but just like any car you can get a duffer so make sure it has a service history

Faults on the one I had:

Fan switches had seized and snapped off- apparently common and needs a new mechanism = dash out

Power steering was intermittent - Saab specialist could not fix

Loads of dead pixels on the displays

Speedo giving an erratic reading

Electric windows worked now and again

Electric roof didnt always work!

Boot was leaking badly

Crap quality interior creeked like nothing you could possibly imagine. Actually imagine floorboards from a cottage built during the 1500s

However I did drive it for a few months and the engine seemed fine even though it was gutless. Just to give you an idea I bought it for £600 and sold it on for £1350 with the above faults mentioned...

Didn't wheeler dealers do up one of these? They found some common faults to look out for.

Think that was where I heard about the cracking firewall from..

Electrical faults dash and centre console mainly.

Part of gm that always go their own way..... Fancy looking for the money though.

More bang for your buck in an 850 t5 though.....

Similar money too. :)

Sorry but I love Volvos! Plus I could sell you some nice 17" alloys for one! :D

I was looking at one of these as a run about they seem to be a lot of car for the cash but as already mentioned make sure it got a good s/h although for 400 quid you could just run it into the ground until it stops passing its mot or goes bang

I notice you didn't point out those faults when you had it advertised on here lol

Some of the faults only developed after driving the thing for a month or so, after I had written the advert. You will see I listed a few of the faults
