Possible temp sensor plug replacement

Guys I have been thinking that it would be much better to replace the temperature sensor plug instead of cleaning it. Mike Feeney can get 280ZX injector plugs which probably fit for 7.50 plus vat or I found this website with a quick release version http://www.racetep.com/injcon.html

 

Has anyone used a 280ZX injector plug to replace the temp sensor plug? If so how did it go?
