Hi

I am thinking of buying a Nissan 300zx Z31 which apparently has failed the MOT because of excessive corrosion to the back axle bushes - any idea how easy it is to replace this, what is it like to get parts for the 300ZX, etc

I had a 280ZX and eventuall had to let it go as the rust bug had got hold and parts were not that cheap - any advice welcome.

I know the one you are talking about, red facelift model in/around Newcastle. The paintwork is in a bit of a state on that as well as the rot. If you're after super cheap then check this one out - http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/nissan-300zx-long-tax-and-mot-classic-car/104222279

I've had one for 5 years now and never had any problem getting parts, there's generally a couple being broken on ebay or on forums and Milke and MJP (trader on here) can sort you with any new parts.

If you want a special z31 there's a guy on Driftworks who's selling his short wheel base z31. It's one of only a handful that I would personally consider now, it's also been featured in a few magazines recently. He's spent quite a bit on it so I would hazard a guess and say that it's in good condition underneath

That looks like an absolute bargain. £350??
