Just chucking it out there. Was takin to mac 1 the other night and was talking about old times (swinging lamp) and we were both remember the old photo shop threads takin the pis#.. Just wondering why the activity is so lame as to say. I know I've been away for many a year but would love to see the old banter. The days before everyone got so offended!

We were all addicted to here. Just strange how time changes things. Hopefully jae and the camera will perform like old.

 

Where's the old swimming pool gone and who's in this year! Mac first I think but will need help as hes a unit to move!

Yes good times John, although i wasnt around that long ago (2007) i remember reading the threads and having a chuckle at some of the antics.

But then a rift appeared between certain members, things happened, and a few split off, so i guess instead of being one big happy community as it should be, people concentrated too much on forum wars, politics and having digs.

 

Things have changed, as do members, coming and going, selling, coming back, but there will be a time ( hopefully soon) where the magic can appear once more.

 

Ten years ago and less, people were better off, had jobs and some expendable income, now as the money is harder to come by, job prospects less, then motivation and enthusiasm for anything considered a luxury has dwindled, which has an underlying affect on nearly everyone in their attitude or outlook on life in general, not just about the cars they drive.

 

But hey, maybe im just being sentimental and cynical, if not hopeful lol.

Yes bud I'm defo.. Mac said he would be coming but I'm sure he will confirm nearer the time.

It's not just that there is less money around, but the cars have become VERY expensive to run in comparison to the actual value. So, not only are there fewer cars around (accidents, breakers, rust etc), but also more of the cars have now become weekend/Summer toys rather than everyday drives. This also means that now there is a significant commitment to say change a set of wheels, compared with maybe ten years ago when that was perhaps only 5% of the value of the now - now it could be 50% !

Ha , the old days certainly was more activity , on here and out n about , so many meets , shows , think i spent a fortune(i did actualy, more on the Zs than anything:crying:) Anyone got the vid or pics of when we fitted fire extinguishers to Chunks wheel chair at Santa Pod, so bloody funny, think he got thrown out of it at one point, ha , the old days:thumbup1:
