valve sensors

anyone know if the two camshaft sensors on the back of the engine are any different apart from having longer leads. Got mine round the wrong way when putting the engine back together last year.

    I don't think they are sensors, They are solenoids. These let oil flow through the centre of the camshaft, to the pulley, and ajust the valve timing.

     

    So to answer the last part of your question, I don't think it matters which way round they go because both cams change phase at same rpm.
