Hi guys

 

as a new 300zx owner (wanted one for many years and finally got round to getting a project to play with!) i am still getting used to all the things i need to keep an eye on!

 

here are just a few of the things i have noticed:

 

hesitation and stutter under take off from a standstill with hard acceleration (doesnt happen if you're gentle or from a rolling start)

 

oil pressure seems to fluctuate sometimes with no nasty sounds of bad oil circulation

 

strange hiss noise from the boot just after starting up as if something is pressurising? lasts about 2 seconds

 

if anyone has some pointers for these things i would appreciate it a lot - wouldnt want to give up on my dream car now i have one (was all i could afford at the time and thought it was worth what i paid!)

 

other than these few points it runs and drives fine

pick your brains if i can for a minute - know anyone local who can do a decent engine check and diagnostic as recommended by Jeff TT?

 

 

 

i want to try and get involved as much as poss with my zed but second opinions on an issues cant hurt! any help out there would be great!

I found that out last saturday!! quick diagnostic and setup session at Jeff TT's place - absolutely superb!! :biggrin:
