sorry yet another question...

got my engine in today (well sort of) spent ages getting the sub-frame back on as it wouldn't line up??? (has now though)

its lined up with the auto box and on one of the mounts.

has anyone got any suggestions on how to get it onto the second mount? its about an inch to the left of the hole (looking at front of the car)

ive tried various lever-bars and lifting the engine in different ways, even tried swearing loudly at it... but it wont go on????

this should be my last question as plan to have it running again tommorow.

Undo the front engine mounts but leave them in place, lower the engine onto them then tighten the top bolts to the engine. Once you have the gearbox bolted up you can then re-tighten the engine mounts to the frame.

Yes mate. I had exactly the same problem and once I had undone the mounts from underneath it all slipped into place nicely.
