May 29, 201213 yr how do you get the pulley off the alternator? and the crank? got the pas one off and the water pump one, but have just broken my alternator fighting the pulley. (see items wanted urgent section) and what size is the crank nut? i dont have a tool big enough lol.
May 29, 201213 yr I'd say you'll need a puller tool as you'll just end up damaging things using 2 screwdrivers or leaver bars
May 29, 201213 yr Author that's how i just broke mine....... stuck a leaver bar right through it.... its all bent now... i think ill fit the rest of the pulleys and see what we have at work once i put the engine back in...
May 29, 201213 yr Lol that's how most people try and get them off and just end up breaking things! Puller tool aint that expensive prob a tenner from halfords and would be a worthwhile buy if your doing the crank pulley as I hear they can be a real pig if its still a struggle you could always try some heat with a blow torch thatll def get it shifted!
May 29, 201213 yr Author its the nut more then the pulley, cant get any grip on the pulley to turn the nut, (just spins freely,)
