But I don't want an ipod or a smart phone...

Needs to be cheap but of decent quality, don't need huge storage capacity and radio function would be nice.

I bought a cheap one from amazon a couple of years ago but it died within a month. lol

Any suggestions?

The missus and myself have these , cracking little units , battery lasts all day and then some , they,ve got loads of features , mines an 8gb and is a true 8gb not these crappy hong kong things claiming to have huge storage but doesn,t , had it for a few years now and it,s used every day and it,s still using it,s original battery , you just use your computer to sync music to it so your not monopolised by i tunes !! , well impressed with them .HTH

The best one by miles is the Sansa Clip. Load Rockbox firmware on it and it destroys an iPod for sound reproduction and quality

Plus they are tiny and cheap! and you can use MicroSD to expand the 8gb memory if need be!

Thanks guys given me some options to look at.

Yeah dont be such a tight arse and buy a decent one!

I only want it for work mate, and will probably end up standing on it like I did my old one. lol

I'm proud to say that I have never given Apple a single penny of mine and that's the way it's staying. That's why I don't want an ipod....
