Looking for a big favour.

 

My car is currently at AVA near Glasgow airport. Its had a fair wack of work done over the last couple of years. In a nutshell it was an NA now converted (nearly) to TT.

 

We've hit a few stumbling blocks that we cant quite figure out. Parts not lining up, not fitting, not their etc.

 

Can anyone with a TT spare a little time and bring their car over for a look see. Just so we can figure out where we are going wrong?

Pas pump was the main lining up issue. Still got all the pipework to do.

Really just wanna do a full check and make sure everything is how it should be.

The engine builder has never worked on a 300 before and even though I've owned mine nearly 10 years, I ain't too familiar with the TT

mines is an n/a bud or you could have looked at mine, pm SLICKTOP , we are both not far away

If you cant manage to get anyone along before I get my car back on the road then I will pop across. That wont be for a week or two though!

Power steering pump pulley from an N/A and TT are different, are you using the n/a pump? if so you can use the n/a crank pulley to make it all line up.

Jeff, are you saying that an n/a's pump pulley will fit straight onto a tt's pump with alignkent issues?

i'm sure i remember some one saying before with this problem ... said they turned the pump pulley around and it was fine after that

A tt would be very handy. Just to make sure everything is how it should be. Intercooler pipes r turning out to be a pain.

No probs, the only times I'll be able to get through now though are Saturdays. What about next week if they havent got it sorted by then?

Yeah, Saturday's are basically my only option aswell. I'll see what I can arrange and let you know.

I was speaking to my engine chap this morning. Would you be ok for this Saturday (16th)? they are having some problems firing up the engine so they are quite keen to have a good look at a Twin Turbo. Unfortunately the top man wont be there, but his No2 will.

It is round the back of the airport. You come off the M8 at J29 and head round the back of the airport. I reckon i'll be in Glasgow for 11:30 because i have to drop kids off etc. Dont feel like you have to hang around too long bud, i dont want to waste your day.
