I live in a remote village. cant even get ADSL2+ and I live pretty much next door to the exchange, so max I can get is 8mb :(

I've got BT infinity 2 as well mate, same profile as you 76/20. I've had it for a month and the fastest it's gone is 6 down and 15 up!

I've been moaning to BT for a month now and it's still crap :(

have you tried a wired connection?

That was the wired speed I quoted mate, I'm talking to the hub over a gig connection :(

BT are aware of the problem, I've had a fault opened with them since the 18th of last month. They just don't seem to be doing anything about it!

Paul, did you get your master socket relocated then?

yes mate - the tech that come out was really good TBH, unlike the last one we had that just said you couldnt do anything about it. He rewired it internally & set one of the extension sockets as the main socket back behind the TV. Well impressed as I thought they would probably just say they couldnt do it! :)

That's a result then. Sadly it appears that some of them are just jobs worths with a "computer says no" attitude and others are actually really helpful and want to provide a good service.

Just got to get mine sorted now. lol

good luck with yours bud - it seems pot luck if you get a decent engineer who knows what he is doing or a fitter that just does the bare minimum!!
