Turbos

Hi does anyone ever fit the T28 turbos from a 200sx s14?

Surely it's not that hard they both use same exhaust flange T25 then use the s14 elbow which uses 3bolt to down pipe my just need a little fabrication to meet elbow to the 300 down pipe?

The reason I ask is a friend has 2 T28rs turbos and I can have them cheap

What do you guys think?

Ok just spoke to him there actually GR2871r .64ar turbos, will these be a tight fit or will there be enough room for them on Megan racing ss manifolds?

If they'll fit I'll have them as there at a bargain price

nice size tub ... but even with my ones fitted there is about 5>8mm between the tub and chassis rail on the drivers side so even that is very close ...

go to the garret site and look up the spec size sheet for both tubs and compair the AR out dir size

plus there is one other problem u gonna have

as both of those tubs are on a inline 6 there both identicaly setup

you will need one tub rotating/clocking for the Passanger side and a

new actuator braket making to suit

Normal tubs the act sits in 90* to the flange

the other side is more like 45* to the flange due to the Inlet housing being rotated

By them specs they should fit shouldn't they?

Also how do people fit big turbos like the z1 600r turbos ect? Do they cut out abit from the chassis rail n move it further in to allow a little extra room?

Edited by 111mattin111

According to ConceptsZ they have that turbo package for sale .... and no modification needed ...

will i can tell u that's a load of bolllox as i had to with my tubs

reshape the chassis rail for clearance ( driver side )

cut & reshape the heat shield ( Turbo housing and Outlet flange )

cut and reshape engine mount ( Actuator was in the way )

grind some alloy off the oil pump ( Actuator bar was sitting on it )

grind some fixing lugs of the turbo ( for Flange adapters )

should be fine .. depends on what t28 is fitted but will do from 300>350hp per turbo with out any problems

the only problem u will/may have is the actuators wrong size and fitments and u will need them Clocking for Left/Right
