We have just had a special notice from VOSA about the change in MOT tests at the beginning of this year

 

Clarification that the check for the presence of a catalytic converter only applies to petrol vehicles that qualify for a full catalyst emmisions test regardless of the result of the Basic Emissions test

 

so for most zeds (upto '95 vehicles), as we do not have a full cat test it will be fine to decat & pass the MOT with no problems :)

The DVLA has it as a 96 but it has 97 seatbelts etc. where can I find the OBD11 port if fitted? I am still stuck with the crap steering wheel though unless there is a way round it.

 

Why are you stuck with the Steering wheel?-if you mean the airbag light, remove it!

is it in the VOSA In Service Exhaust Emission Standards for Road Vehicles? Have been looking for it to wave under my MOT testers nose 'cos he no comprendo!

I agree with you, but the guy at the garage seems to think that it should still have it's cat's on. So I was looking for something in writing that I can take to show him.

Take it to a different garage it's a grey import so isn't eligible.

It's just what they call them.

Technically they are all imported, just not all of them by Nissan. Hence grey import.
